Let's Talk Apolitical talk about Flight Lieutenant Swati Rathore to be first woman leading Republic Day Parade fly past

  Source : IANS Indian Air Force Flight Lieutenant Swati Rathore, who hails from Rajasthan,  will add a new chapter in the history of woman empowerment by becoming the first  woman to lead the fly past on the main Republic Day parade at Delhi’s Rajpath. She is the daughter of Dr Bhavani Singh Rathore , who is a Deputy Director in the state’s Agriculture Department. Swati was born in a small village in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan and did her schooling in Ajmer.  In a painting competition, she made a tricolour during her childhood,  showing her passionate love for her country. Eventually, her parents pushed her to realize her dream,  and she entered the NCC Air Wing after graduation. Swati dreamed of becoming a  pilot and was chosen for her first attempt at the IAF in 2014. Her brother is in the Merchant Navy.
