What is the Real Definition of "Quality Education"?

"A good quality education is one that provides all learners with capabilities they require to become economically productive, develop sustainable livelihoods, contribute to peaceful and democratic societies and enhance individual well-being. The learning outcomes that are required vary according to context but at the end of the basic education cycle must include threshold levels of literacy and numeracy, basic scientific knowledge and life skills including awareness and prevention of disease. Capacity development to improve the quality of teachers and other education stakeholders is crucial throughout this process."

Six Important D's-Dimensions Of Quality Education

I believes that education leads to empowerment: a process of strengthening individuals, organisations and communities so they get more control over their own situations and environments. Quality education is a crucial factor in combating poverty and inequality in society. In quality education, I distinguishes six dimensions that all interventions of the organisation need to meet.

Equity

My definition refers to "all learners". This term refers to non-discrimination and equity. Equity in education means that personal and social circumstances such as gender, ethnic origin or family background are not obstacles to achieving educational potential and that all individuals reach at least a basic minimum level of skills. I particularly focuses on gender equity.

Contextualization and Relevance

Quality education cannot be based on a blueprint that is applicable in all situations. Solutions and adaptations of education systems must be based on the real needs of a country and/or community.

Child-friendly Teaching and Learning

Quality education puts the child in the centre and helps it to reach his or her full potential. Quality Education requires children’s active participation.

Sustainability

Educational change processes often need time to be realised. By enhancing the capacities of local education authorities, We aims to institutionalise these processes.

Balanced Approach

Quality education aims at developing a balanced set of capabilities of children they require to become economically productive, develop sustainable livelihoods, contribute to peaceful and democratic societies and enhance individual well-being.

Learning Outcomes

After completing a certain level of education, children must have developed a minimum standard of skills. Quality education requires a results-oriented approach.

Factors Defining Rest of Year' Course of Indian Economy The first-quarter GDP growth number — a contraction by 24% — was on expected lines and shows that the Indian economy has slumped sharply due to the lockdown. “Growth for the full year is likely to be in the region of (—) 6.4 per cent, which is premised on a low negative growth number for the first two quarters for certain, possibly a close to positive number in the third quarter, and positive growth in the last quarter,” writes Madan Sabnavis, chief economist of CARE Ratings. But two basic factors would influence the assumptions being made on the growth prospects for the coming quarters. The first is the process of “Unlocking”. It has been observed that with the economy moving from the stage of a total lockdown in April to a gradual opening up of the windows in May and June, and then the door opening up a little more significantly in July and August, the movement from one stage to another did reflect in the macro-economic nu...

Thoughts on Economics Part - 1 : Communism

Communism! Capitalism! Socialism! Liberalism! You must have heard these words quite often. But do you know the real meaning of these ideologies in its true sense? What has been their impact on our world? What are their advantages and disadvantages?   Welcome to a Thoughts on Economics Part - 1 Blog where I will try to explain such concepts, topics and things in a simple language, about which we talk frequently, but hardly anyone amongst us has tried to go in-depth to understand their meaning. I would like to start this series with today’s Blog which is on Communism. What are Communism and Communist ideology? In one line, communism means, “From each according to his ability, To each according to his needs.” Meaning a society, where every person works according to his ability If one person is more fit, is muscular and can lift heavyweight, then he works according to his own ability. If another person is a little weak, is disabled and cannot work extensively, then he too w...
